I wrote most of these Primary Physics progression maps in 2021. With the new primary science curriculum being developed as I write , I wanted to republish these and add energy to the list. Energy is controversial at primary science. I have followed the arguments, but believe that we don’t address misconceptions by ignoring them. Primary teachers can be aware of how to teach energy at primary school, laying strong foundations for later study.
